Potholes on Thunder Bay's Streets....
What Steps should I take after Encountering a Pothole?
note the location of the pothole (address or main intersection) – use GPS if possible, to note the longitude/latitude of the pothole
use a digital camera with an accurate date/time stamp and take a picture of the pothole and of any damage that your vehicle may have sustained as a result of having come into contact with the pothole
write down a statement and have anyone else that saw it or experienced it or felt it write a statement
take your vehicle to a mechanic and have him/her provide you with an assessment of the damage and an estimate of how much it would most likely cost to repair the damage caused by the pothole.
Contact the City of Thunder Bay's office of the city clerk @
(807) 625-2230 or bring your information to them.
You will be compensated for damages to your vehicle...and tell city hall I sent you..:)
