Subject: We are paying this
man ......re: Sgt Dan Taddeo big money to sit at home.!!

Mauro
To: Joe Virdiramo ,PSAB Chair and to Keith Hobbs, PSAB
member
Good evening Joe and Keith,
We are paying Sgt. Dan Taddeo $144,796.88 per year as
reported in 2011 for 2010 to sit at home plus paying
the additional wages for his replacement while he is off on paid suspended
leave. These wasted dollars could be put to much better usage...I am sure you
would both agree with that statement.
His Police Service Act hearing is not scheduled until
August of 2012 with continuance dates set aside for him in September of 2012, I
find this most un-acceptable and feel that the PSAB should step in and do
whatever it is they can do to have this issue dealt with in a much more cost and
time efficient manner in order to save the tax dollars being wasted away
here.
What can you do as a board.? What can our new police
chief do.?
We as taxpayers do not want or need another case in
point Sgt. Jim Mauro who's case took 2 years to come to a conclusion while we
still await his fait apparently coming down on March the 16th, 2012.
I may as well make note of constable Toni Grann who's
criminal portion of her charges are now dealt with and we await the judges
ruling as well, she then must go through the same internal Police Services Act
Hearing process and how long and how much is this going to cost the taxpayers of
the city.???
There must be/has to be a way in which these hearings
can be scheduled and dealt with in a much more expedient manner than they have
been in the past citing Sgt. Jim Mauro's fiasco as a prime example of a total
waste of tax dollars, so I am asking you who are both members of the police
services administration board to find a way to save both time and expenses when
dealing with such matters along with your fellow board members, the current
chief of police and the police department union executive.
Please advise your comments and solutions to this
delima/scenario.
Sincerely,
Jim Gamble
If the city is serious about being held fiscally responsible...then they will do something about this beginning now.!
