City Hall...mayor Keith Hobbs...city council and city management are specialists in mismanagement, as well are are severely lacking in transparency and accountability in many an opinion.

ACTUAL PROOF that there is NO TRANSPARENCY within city hall.....and not all that much accountability either...this is regarding the city making payment to the "POLISH MUTUAL BENEFIT SOCIETY" located at 818 Spring Street of over $70,000.00 in damages from the get go of the so called FLOOD DISASTER RELIEF FUND...and only giving residents a paltry $1,000.00 initially for their damages received...see the email trail below...

NOTE: Check the dates of these email messages....as well the city had also agreed to pay for a local contractor to perform additional work up and beyond the $70,000.00 already paid out to this group for replacing their walk in cooler...stoves...and various kitchen equipment...so who got ROYALLY SCREWED...the residents who suffered flood damage....clearly not the "POLISH MUTUAL BENEFIT SOCIETY" located at 818 Spring Street.....more of WHAT goes on BEHIND Closed Doors at CITY HALL to come in the near future folks...stay tuned as they say...;0

----- Original Message ----- From: Jimmy Gamble To: KChiappetta@thunderbay.ca ; TCommisso@thunderbay.ca Sent: Monday, January 14, 2013 11:06 PM Subject: 2nd Reply to Kari: Reply: Good evening Tim...message regarding the Flood Damage at the Polish Mutual Benefit Society hall 818 Spring Street. Date: Monday, January 14th, 2013 Time: 11:05 p.m. To: Kari Chiappetta and Tim Commisso, Manager City of Thunder Bay. NOTE: Please copy this message to Paul Pugh and Michael Smith accordingly. Good evening Kari, I hope this message finds you well with all the flu that seems to be spreading itself around Thunder Bay. Please note that effective immediately, Solutions will "NOT" be acting on behalf of the "Polish Mutual Benefit Society" and their president of their board of directors John (Jon) Flis...due to a conflict with the original terms and conditions which all parties agreed in writing to and now there seems to be a change of heart from John Flis and his fellow board members. Solutions will retain all the documentation received to date with regards to this matter until the "Polish Mutual Benefit Society" pays in full their outstanding account balance for my services rendered to date on this file as well another filed with the "HRTO". In closing, please direct all future communications directly to John (Jon) Flis c/o the Polish Mutual Benefit Society, 818 Spring Street, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Mr. Fils can also be contacted by calling his cell phone at: 807-628-5990m or his home at: 807-577-0414. Notation: A/ If the Polish Mutual Benefit Society does not clear up their outstanding balance amount by Thursday, January 17th, 2013, I will have no other choice but to file my claim for these monies owed with the Superior Court of Ontario, Small Claims Division, in turn both of your organizations will be named as third parties to my suit. B/ I also spoke with Tammy Laws, executive assistant to M.P.P. Michael Gravelle this morning and I wish to inform you both that there is "NO" funding available to this organization with regards to their lost revenue of $1,500.00 average profit per month from their weekly food sales. The Trillium Foundation has also denied their application for same, so in my humble opinion these costs for the lost revenue/profit shall be born directly by the Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay, I will advise John (Jon) Flis accordingly on Tuesday, January 15th, 2013 via e-mail. C/ I would appreciate a full explanation as to how in the world did this organization receive well over $70,000.00 in remuneration for all of the damaged beyond repair kitchen and refrigeration equipment plus the raw materials supplied by the city of Thunder Bay in addition to the contract presently in place with "First General Services" of Thunder Bay which I was told by the contractor who is presently undertaking the repairs to the woman's and men's washroom in the basement of 818 Spring Street, "Darcy Trist" who stated to myself the contract was valued at $5,000.00 in total. How can this have come to pass when all I personally read in the local media for weeks on end,was that any persons making claim for flood damage was only going to be given the sum of $1,000.00 maximum as well the city would cover the initial clean-up costs until, the claims could be thoroughly reviewed by the "Disaster Relief Committee" and then discussed with the individuals beginning in January of 2013.??? Personally I believe our local MEDIA should be made aware of this situation and they in turn can seek the answers as to how this all had come to be, however I will await your reply to this e-mail message to see exactly what your explanation will be and then I will make my decision as to contact all of the media here in Thunder Bay. Regards, Jim Gamble Solutions, Thunder Bay, Ontario
