Good
evening everyone.....today has been nothing short of one (1) TOTALLY
AWESOME DAY to say the very least.....I had the opportunity to motor on
down to the Intercity mall where I hooked up with none other than
Thunder Bay's "DEE ROCK" and all of her
friends and co-workers from ROCK 94, The Giant Radio and of course CKPR
91.5 radio station.....they were all there helping out to get the word
out to the listeners here in Thunder Bay all day long.....as were Wayne
Fletcher.....Vince Mirabelli and many others.....people were dropping in
all day long to make a donation...all of which is so very, very much
appreciated and really needed.....it was a SUPER GREAT DAY...however
folks.....we all have "ONE (1) DAY LEFT.....YUP that is correct.....ONE
DAY ONLY right up until 11:59 p.m on Thursday, January
31st, 2013.....that is the cut-off deadline as per the "PROVINCE of
ONTARIO"....after Thursday is through.....the opportunity for
fundraising and for the PROVINCE of ONTARIO to match the monies
donated/raised by the ever so giving and caring residents, business's,
unions, children, schools etc....will be no more opportunity to donate a
single dime.....I am very sorry and sad to have to advise you
all.....so with all the above said...hey "THUNDER BAY"...lets all band
together for these last and final 24 hours...lets show the world that
THUNDER BAY is truly the little city way up north in ONTARIO.....that is
the real deal.....YES we in fact are the city with the "GIANT
HEART".!!!
So the only thing left for myself to say is.....HEY THUNDER BAY.....LETS ALL GET R' DONE.....the clock is officially ticking and 24 hours will seem to pass in the blink of an eye..so we really need for each and everyone of you to hop on board the KARMA BUS.....and lets all "PLAY IT FORWARD"......and please, please remember that no donation is too small or will not be greatly appreciated.....at this point in time every penny really and truly counts.....one cent = 3 cents.....1 dollar actually equals 3 dollar and so on.....keep in mind at all times that the PROVINCE is matching each and every dollar raised on a 2 to 1 basis.!!!
On a side note to the main reason why it is we are all attempting this last minute "PUSH" to increase the total amount of monies donated to help all those who were adversely effected from the FLOOD EVENT OF MAY 2102.....I would like to thank "DEE ROCK" and all of the wonderful people over at "DOUGALL MEDIA" for all of their time and effort today.....I also would like to personally thank Chairman "WAYNE FLETCHER" of the "Disaster Relief Committee" for stepping up to the plate to take on this enormous task and along with him were the committee.....the residents who all came forward to help in any way they possibly could.....I would again like to personally thank each and every volunteer member of this committee who's efforts will never been forgotten or over looked....it is individuals such as your selves that truly put the THUNDER" in the name of our city.....a place that were are all equally proud to call home.....so in closing thanks to everyone who played any type or role and who stepped up to lend a helping hand to their neighbors, to their family and friends as well to help out complete strangers.....you are all what makes THUNDER BAY the VERY SPECIAL place to live that it is.
Oops.....one last thing if you all will allow....."WELCOME HOME DEE.....we all really missed you kiddo.....well I sure did.....it was AWESOME to see you today and to be able to hang out and talk and tell some of my stories......never loose that sparkle in your eye okay......now there you go my friend....as promised to you this afternoon as we were all getting to go our own separate ways.....I have done what it was I said I would do.....so with that said......Dee it is your turn as well each and everyone who is reading this post as well who will read or view the videos I also recorded this afternoon......to "PLAY IT FORWARD".!!!
