Thunder Bay Police responded to 221 calls for
service over the past twenty four hours. That included 76 traffic
related incidents, and 73 Quality of Life calls. There were fifty calls
responded to by uniformed police officers that involved alcohol.
There were also seven weapons offence's, 17 assaults and three sexual assaults.
PLUS a very serious...and vicious Assault on South Side
It was a busy night for officers. An overnight assault on Cumming Street just off of May Street is currently under investigation by police officers. The condition of the victim is currently unknown. Based on reports, it could be a very bad start to the Canada Day long weekend for Thunder Bay Police.
