3 Things to Know About Cuts to the Provincial Government...so far


1.
Programs that have been eliminated:
  • Funding for services that support adults with developmental disabilities living at home.
  • Making sure schools and daycares are checking for lead in drinking water
  • Auditing municipalities' delivery of billions of dollars in social assistance. 
  • The closure of most of Ontario Place.
2.
Programs that have been reduced:
  • Drinking water inspectors in four districts: Ajax, London, Cornwall and Windsor.
  • Processing of restraining orders, child and spousal support orders.
  • Air and water quality scientists.
  • Answering public inquiries on road safety.
  • Processing claims from doctors and hospitals.
  • Regulation of payday loans and collection agencies.
  • Support for the enforcement of road safety.

Massive budget cuts are planned over the next four years. What programs that protect our health and safety and build our economy will be eliminated next?
