Thunder Bay mayor Keith Hobbs....a son's story...

This was-is a MOST INTERESTING story as told to myself and an individual by the name of Brenda Lewicky by a woman named CHERYL who at the time was a co-worker of one Scott Hobbs at a local group home and is also a very dear friend to Brenda L. as well....so here it is as told to myself...One night while driving home Scott Hobbs was pulled over by the boys in blue here in the city and was found to be shall we say impaired enough where he should not have been behind the wheel of a vehicle so what transpired then was they drove both him and his vehicle home so he would not get himself into hot water....and yes indeed he was bold enough to tell Cheryl and a few of his other co-workers this story of events....Cheryl in turn told me what he had said to her....in turn I emailed mayor Hobbs about his sons antics and as expected did not receive any reply...not that I was expecting to in the first place.
I still have that email message to this day on my computer...and as always people who state such things as noted above can always be compelled at any point in time to state what they may know under oath to a judge...if it were to be deemed necessary.

Well just another case of my city and its secrets...which there are a vast number of out there on any given day...so enjoy your snowy Sunday folks as I am going to definitely enjoy mine equally...just might have to do a wee bit of shoveling too boot...

Thunder Bay....MAY I HAVE YOUR UNDIVIDED ATTENTION PLEASE....

MAY I HAVE YOUR UNDIVIDED ATTENTION PLEASE....this is guaranteed to make you feel a number of things....coming in at NUMBER 1 would be EXTREME EMESIS  which is  informally know as throwing up as in VOMITING...!!! and then one would be feeling aghast, dismayed, disgusted, dizzy, frustrated and even angry with our PROVINCIAL and MUNICIPAL governments....for the follow reason which I will outline for you all below.... WE have all heard how our population is aging correct...??? and how very much and hard the government is working to keep people in their own homes...(emphasis on working hard) well this just might OPEN YOUR EYES to how it is all designed to operate....here we go and this information is from a Case Manager by the name of LEEZA over at our local C.C.A.C. (808-345-7339) via telcon this morning at 9 a.m., in order to qualify for assistance you as a client need to have help from an outside source with your personal grooming ( bathing, dressing yourself) and for that you can receive a MAXIMUM of 16 HOURS per week in assistance....THAT'S ALL FOLKS....it does not seem to matter whether or not you can cook and feed yourself...or clean your living space....NOPE for help with that you must hire outside services and pay for same out of your pocket....even those on meager government pensions cannot get any relief from these costs....one must pay for example "MEALS on WHEELS" to bring them food....(please note I am not stating that Meals on Wheels is not a good program what so ever)....but what about those people out there who cannot afford the cost....where does that leave them...??? I am going to bring this to the attention of our local M.P.P.s Michael Gravelle and Bill Mauro because this needs a serious look over and major changes in policy in this guys opinion....as well I will make our municipal politicians aware of this scenario....NOTE every individual retired person living in this city has a good healthy monthly company pension to fall back on....and these people are falling through the cracks in the present day system. We can spend all kinds of MILLIONS and MILLIONS of DOLLARS on twinning the highways across Northwestern Ontario....and our Municipal leaders are presently looking at spending $100 Million Dollars on a new Multi-Plex and another $25 Million Dollars on an Art Gallery and all along this kind of situation is happening right here in their own back yards....I say they must address the burning situations here first and foremost....so I ask you all, what is it that you have to say about this subject matter...??? Additional Thunder Bat Transit BUS SHELTERS taking form....which is a good thing so don't get me wrong when I say....at these key locations along Arthur Street they should have been there many years ago....and Ummmmmm will someone over at city hall kindly wake up....today s date is after all Wednesday, November 20th, 2013....these shelters should have been built at the very latest in September of this year....clearly not now when they could have been used this past week when the temperatures combined with the wind chill factor in the city was minus 20 Degrees Celsius...again I must say...."ONLY in THUNDER BAY".....poor planing plain and simple.!
