You know the city of THUNDER BAY, Ontario is desperate for cash when they go door to door like the Gestapo...there should be no need for any type of "BLITZ"...the entire situation should be monitored on a regular basis...

I found it quite odd when going into his office with the letter of authorization to take one of his clients files over and his assistant stated to myself that they have had 2 flooding events in their office and there is a possibility that this file could have been lost due to water damage...Ummmmmm what to think and say about that.????

Here's a couple of photo's of the POLISH MUTUAL BENEFIT SOCIETY building and the guy named "DARCEY TRIST" who is a sub-contractor to First General Services of Thunder Bay..these are the guys who were given the go ahead to repair the flood damage in the building...oh by the way the person in the photo knows literally nothing about construction in my opinion...I have known him for years...and the president of this group is a fellow by the name of John (JAN) Flis who as well knows nothing about construction renovations as well...it still is a mystery as to why they were given all this money by the city FLOOD COMMITTEE when all everyone received was a mere $1,000.00...well it will all come out in the wash let me assure you all of that...this is total B.S. in my opinion...stay tuned for when the S#%@ hits the fan...:)
Just some random photos from SUNDAY...these buildings along Simpson Street which are owned by Ken Whent are nothing short of bull dozing material..who in their right mind is going to actually rent the main floor of these buildings...as well a few pieces of property for sale in the city and FIRST GENERAL SERVICES was the company hired by the city to do the contracting repairs to the POLISH MUTUAL BENEFIT SOCIETY building located at 818 Spring Street and that approval I have indeed questioned especially when others were only being given a maximum of $1,000.00 for their flood damages...this local group was paid out well over $75,000.00 right from the get go...now I ask you does that seem fair and holding to their golden rules of only allowing an initial $1,000.00 to all who filed a flood damage claim.???? posted by Jim Gamble of Thunder Bay Monday, April 29th, 2013.

The highest MUNICIPAL TAXES in ONTARIO are right here in THUNDER BAY....
I'm going to take you all back in time to 2009...so please follow along...The Conference Board of CANADA rated Thunder Bay number 27 which was the bottom of the list of the best places to live in Ontario...the city employs 3,380 at this time which is i employee for every 32 residences and the city debt load was $229 million...the city population was reported to be 109,000 at this time as well.
As of may 2009 the city has applied for $120 million dollars of infrastructure funding from both the province and the federal government...a friends home which was valued at $165,000.00 was taxed locally to the tune of $3,278.00 and another friends home which was valued at $225,000.00 was also taxed to the tune of $4,400.00. The city has retained the services of BMA Management Consulting for the past 8 years and after reviewing the CONSULTANTS REPORT the residential comparisons graphs had the municipal tax rates however did NOT give the pertinent house value that this rate actually represented.
In my opinion the consultants GRAPH was totally useless.
City administration claimed that we are average in municipal taxation...I dispute this point.
The consultants report has been successful in convincing city council and the residents of Thunder Bay that they should feel most comfortable with the residential taxes...in real terms we are a far cry from being average based upon the property of the homes here in the city.
As of today I am seeking to update all of this information..especially the number of city employees...I have requested this information now 3 times from city manager TIM COMMISSO with no response-reply what so ever..so I'll ask him for the 4th time today in yet another email message.
